Real time mixed model “true” motion measurement of television signal

چکیده
Motion measurement of video signal has been one of the most researched topic in the field of video processing [1], [2]. The need for true and accurate motion measurement is a necessity for video coding and motion compensated picture processing. Very few algorithms have been proposed that are both efficient in terms of accuracy, complexity and ease of implementation in reference hardware and software platforms. In this paper we propose a motion estimation algorithm that can handle very large to sub-pixel motion without any compromise. The motion estimation algorithm works in two stages where the global affine motions are measured in the first stage and residual small local motions are measured in the second stage. The algorithm is 100 times faster in measuring affine motion compared to MPEG-4 reference codec and is equally fast in measuring local motion.

The Effect of Measurement Errors on the Performance of Variable Sample Size and Sampling Interval Control Chart
The effect of measurement errors on adaptive and non-adaptive control charts has been occasionally considered by researchers throughout the years. However, that effect on the variable sample size and sampling interval (VSSI) control charts has not so far been investigated. In this paper, we evaluate the effect of measurement errors on the VSSI control charts. After a model development, the effe...

This paper puts forward a real-time angular tracking (motion capture) system for a low cost upper limb exosuit based on sensor fusion; which is integrated by an elastic sleeve-mitten, two inertial measurement units (IMU), two flex sensors and a wireless communication system. The device can accurately detect the angular position of the shoulder (flexion-extension, abduction-adduction and interna...
متن کاملProposed new signal for real-time stress monitoring: Combination of physiological measures
Human stress is a physiological tension that appears when a person responds to mental, emotional, or physical chal-lenges. Detecting human stress and developing methods to manage it, has become an important issue nowadays. Au-tomatic stress detection through physiological signals may be a useful method for solving this problem. In most of the earlier studies, long-term time window was considere...

Hyperspectral (HS) imaging is a significant tool in remote sensing applications. HS sensors measure the reflected light from the surface of objects in hundreds or thousands of spectral bands, called HS images. Increasing the number of these bands produces huge data, which have to be transmitted to a terrestrial station for further processing. In some applications, HS images have to be sent inst...

Great effect of three way catalytic convertor (TWC) performance on oxygen sensor output voltage has made the sensor (located after catalyst) as the main signal in almost all today’s TWC monitoring algorithms. In this paper output voltage of nonlinear oxygen sensor is estimated using a nonlinear autoregressive with exogenous inputs (NARX) model. The estimation uses ECU calculated exhaust gas flo...
